Funding
The Umeå SIMSAM Lab was created by funding from the Swedish Research Council to develop the use of registers within the social and medical sciences. One of the results of this funding is the creation of Stat4Reg, a group of scientists devoted to the development of novel statistical methods within the different studies carried out at the Umeå SIMSAM Lab.
More recently funding from the Umeå School of Business and Economics and Umeå University have contributed in consolidating the Stat4Reg Lab as a center of statistical research with focus on register based research for studies within the economic, social and medical sciences.
Specific research projects have their own funding as described in Research programs and projects. In particular our current projects are funded by the Swedish Research Council, the Swedish Research Council for Health, Working Life and Welfare, the Wallenberg Foundation and the Riksbanken Foundation.
